How to Release Your Faith and Let God Fight Your Battles

Exodus 14:14 AMP
“The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm.”

I have been on a journey for a while now to learn about the threats and attacks of the devil. This isn’t because I want to know how strong or how great he is, but because he did so much damage in my own life. I know that he’s affecting the lives of literally, billions, right now. What I’ve come to learn is that it’s all smoke and mirrors; Satan has no real power.

It’s you and me that give the devil his power. It’s not just the way it goes, or how it was meant to be, or just the hand you’ve been dealt. If the devil is messing in your life, it’s because you allow it and have given him dominion in your life. He has literally been invited into your life to destroy it.

When it comes to the spiritual realm, the spiritual battles, and spiritual warfare, it’s important to understand the key players and what their powers are. In this particular battle, there is good and there is evil. Jesus, who is good, came to earth to take the power away from the enemy. He did this when He died and was raised back to life. At this time, Satan lost power over Jesus and anyone who would follow Jesus.

So, the power lies in who you give it to; plain and simple. If given the opportunity, the devil clutters the mind and instills thoughts of fear and doubt and discouragement. Too many people have given him the opportunity and now believe that there is no way to find happiness, freedom, and joy. Is this you? Do you feel like you are doomed to a life of Hell and misery on earth? You don’t have to be.

There is power in the name of Jesus Christ

John 14:13
“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

The entire purpose of your life is to bring glory to God. God wants you to happily serve Him. The entire purpose and plan of Satan is to bring glory to himself and away from God. Have you ever met someone who is filled to the brim with pride and self-love? That person is filled with the spirit of the devil.

A person who truly loves Jesus will be filled with a love to follow Him and help grow the Kingdom of God. Their joy will come from doing things that glorify God the Father. This was Jesus’ way of living while on earth. He didn’t come to condemn or destroy or to put a bunch of rules on everyone; He came to show love and to heal. His goal was to help each of us find life through Him, and this brought glory to the Father.

God is the most powerful. His Spirit has the power to do anything; even create the Heavens and the earth and all that’s in it. He has the power to cast the devil and the devil’s followers into Hell for eternity. But He also has the power to give you eternal life in Heaven with Him.

Satan never was more powerful than God. He wanted to be, and for this, God punished him and cast him out of His presence forever. Now Satan goes around like a big bully who is truly destroyed on the inside. His power is in casting fear over people and the power, authority, and dominion he has in people’s lives is only given to him by those who give in to his fearful thoughts; especially, those who don’t understand the power of the Name of Jesus.

But Jesus tells you that you can have abundant life in Him (John 10:10), and when you accept Him, you are given the Holy Spirit as a Helper to live in you eternally.

John 14:15-16
“If you love Me, [a]keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— ”

In the next part, I want to help you learn about the power of the Holy Spirit and after that, how to release that power in your life.

The power to move mountains is in you if you have faith in Jesus

John 1:1-5
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
John 1:14
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

This tells you that Jesus is God. If you accept Jesus into your life, you have the Spirit of God living in you. When the Spirit of God comes to live in you, He doesn’t lose His power and take on yours. Instead, you become a new creation and it’s YOU that takes on His power. But you need to understand this, and you need to release that power.

When Jesus was on earth, He would go around casting out demons and healing the sick and reaching the Lost. He was fully God and fully human. He stayed connected to the Father through prayer and obeyed His Father, God in everything. He prayed alone to the Father every morning. He stayed in constant connection with His Father and the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that when he returned to heaven that we would be given the Holy Spirit in John 14:16-17 and that would be able to do greater things than He did while on the earth John 14:12.

If you’ve accepted Jesus, God has given you His Holy Spirit to lead and guide you. The Holy Spirit will help you discern right from wrong. Through the Holy Spirit, the power that created the Heavens and the earth and that raised Christ from the dead is in you. This power is greater than Satan. The devil stands no chance against the Holy Spirit in you.

If you have anything in your life that is clearly not the Will of God, you must utilize the power of the Holy Spirit and remove those things. You can’t remove the enemy from your life without the Spirit of God.

If you have mountains in your life; sickness or pain, broken relationships or a broken marriage, big debt, troubling people, no job, any type of lack or limitation, then you need to get serious in prayer and take authority over those today and kick the enemy out of your life. It’s Satan who brings trouble and it’s him who will keep causing you grief and distress all the way to utter ruin and destruction.

Cry out to God in prayer. Jesus understands your pain, and provides a shoulder to lean on. The Bible says to pray without ceasing, to pray persistently. Prayer is powerful, it is our connection to talk directly with the creator of the universe, the one who created us, our heavenly Father, our King Jesus and our advocate, the Holy Spirit.

The power in you is released through faith

Matthew 21:21-22
So Jesus answered and said to them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.’”

What is ailing you? What is causing you grief and despair in your life? Tell it to go away. Cast it right out of your life. It’s as simple as that, right? Well, for many, it’s not.

But if you asked Jesus directly, He’d say it is that simple.

When you consider the power of God, it’s easy to think that He can do anything that He wants. What you need to understand is that God doesn’t want the devil to have any control or power in your life. He doesn’t want you to succumb to the attacks of the devil and perish. So, if God’s Will, which means, His desire, is for you to have an abundant, happy, and healthy life, then it’s up to you to also believe that He is willing to help you achieve that.

It’s necessary to understand that you can’t move mountains in your life under your own power, nor can you do this for personal gain and self-satisfaction. Everything you do in the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit must be done to glorify God.

When you do cast out a spirit of Satan, you must see it as God casting it out. By doing it this way, you will find it to be a simple process. If you understand the hierarchy and understand that God, who is in you, is at the top of this hierarchy, then you will have an easier time understanding and believing that the devil must leave at your command using the Name of Jesus.

When Jesus cast demons out of people, he would say; “Satan, come out of this person!”

He didn’t say, “Satan, please come out of this person.” It was never a plea or request. It’s a command. When using the Name of Jesus to cast out evil spirits or to move your mountains, it needs to be a command in faith. It’s not, “I hope this works”; it’s, “This works because the Spirit of God in me is powerful over the enemy and I truly believe this is according to God’s Will for me.”

Release your faith. When you use Jesus’ name, believe there is power and that you’ve released a force that Satan himself can’t stand against. See it as done and move on to fill your life with praise and worship to God.

Let God fight your battles

Let God work your problems out. If you try to figure out how God will bring healing in your life or situations, you will only be met with confusion and frustration. Instead of worrying about how God will heal you or pay your debts or help you find a job or a spouse, simply thank Him and praise Him for doing that thing in your life and consider it done in His perfect timing. If you do this, keep the faith that God will do it for as long as it takes, and watch how God will provide in the process.

If He will take a year to do something, He will surely keep you in good standing during that year. This I know through experience. Keep your focus on God and trust in His power and know that all that happens, happens according to His Will. I have learned that if I focus on my lack, then I give power to the devil and authorize him to fill my mind with fearful thoughts. Then I start wondering; “Oh man, how will we make it through this month?”

Letting God fight your battles

Instead, when I start to get thoughts of fear that there won’t be enough money or food or gas or whatever, I turn to God for strength. I pray and I’m reminded that God doesn’t care about worldly limitations or lack. He can take care of it, so it is a relief to let go and allow God to fight the battles for me. What I also know is that your faith is shown when tested. If you are believing for something, just know that God will put the pressure on you a bit to be sure your faith is in the right spot. God usually shows up right at the last moment, because that’s when the fire of testing gets really hot.

When you feel like you are being tested, turn to God in praise and worship and thank Him for all He’s doing in your life and for what you already have. Focus on His good and not on your lack and limitation. This is the way to release your faith and live in a way that glorifies God.

When you do life this way, the devil has zero power to steal your joy and peace and happiness. Then you can enjoy all that God has given you and you can live encouraged and confident. Ignore the enemy and trust God.

A short Prayer to ask God to fight your battles

Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord I know that you are Lord of all. That this mountain, this battle before me that feels so unsurmountable is nothing to you. Lord I place it in your hands, with my worries and cares around this issue. Thank you Lord for being our provider and that when we humble ourselves in prayer, submitting to you, this allows you to take over and meet our needs in your divine way and timing. Please help us to leave this with you and fill us with your peace and joy. We praise you Lord for you deserve all the Glory.

In Jesus Name,

If you want to experience true happiness, you must kick the devil out of your life. You must understand the power of the Holy Spirit and how to release that power in your life to let God fight your battles. When you do this, your life will be transformed.

Take control of your life right now. Confess your sins to God. Repent from those sins, which means to turn away from doing those things anymore and get rid of the sin from your life. Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit and learn to live as though you are allowing God to direct and lead you each day. Be willing to do anything the Lord prompts. He will guide you into your best life; He will fill you with happiness that is supernatural.
