“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.”
Not every one of us are called to be Pastors or to travel around the world sharing the Good News of Jesus. However, we as Christians are called to share the Good News of Christ where we can. This might mean right where we’re planted.
Sharing the message and love of Jesus can be done in many ways. Ultimately, we are expected by God to be an example of Jesus to others around us, whether we know them or not. We are expected to use our gifts and abilities to help others and to do God’s work.
I have written several articles to the best of my current ability and knowledge in an attempt to help spread the message of Christ worldwide. I can’t travel the globe at this time in my life for many reasons, so for me, this is the next best thing. Also, I have written a couple of books; one that is non-fiction and one that is fiction, but based on real-world issues.
In this article, I want to highlight the two books that I’ve written, but also, encourage others to step out and do their part to also advance the Kingdom of God. I will try to list some steps you can take, but ultimately, you will need to consult God to get the best direction. All I can do is offer some starting points. But God will lead you if you seek Him.

Don’t Let The devil Defeat You
Satan is always at work and up to something that is harmful and damaging. However, not very many people are in tune with what he’s doing. Most don’t even know when they’re being attacked by him. We are expected by God to know the signs of false teachers and prophets, but more importantly, to know when we’re being tempted and lied to by the enemy.
The Spirit of God is given to every new believer of Jesus Christ. Upon accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and makes His home in you. From this point on, the Holy Spirit, known as the Helper, is with you and is there to help you. He helps you make good decisions throughout the day and He helps you discern between good and evil. When Satan is trying to work you over, the Holy Spirit will help you know this and will provide a way out if you’ll take it.
So, to help new believers and struggling Christians understand who Satan is and what he’s up to, I wrote the book: Don’t let the devil defeat you. I titled the book this way because the devil is constantly trying to defeat you; especially if you’re a new believer or weak and struggling. Your best defense is knowledge. Of course, the bible is the best resource for knowledge, but these sorts of books are also helpful to break things down and offer a simple look at some practical solutions.
The book lays a solid foundation about what Satan’s plans are for you and it also provides you with practical knowledge for how to deal with the attacks. I’ve spent nearly twenty years as a struggling Christian because I never bothered to learn about the devil or what he was doing to me. I allowed him to come into my life and do a lot of damage, but fortunately for me, I eventually surrendered to God and sought out help from Him to break free from the bondage of the devil and the sin I was trapped in.
I don’t lose as much time to the devil as I used to. Instead, now I turn to God and seek his strength right away. For the most part, I tend to make better choices and resist the devil. For me, this is a big step in the right direction. But it took new knowledge and application.
12 Weeks In Colorado
The other book I wrote, 12 weeks in Colorado, was written first and early in my writing career. Before I became a Christian blogger, I started writing as a personal development blogger. My goal was to help people get their mind out of the gutter, make better choices, and get focused on something more productive for their lives. This book is structured in much the same way. I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and I experienced much throughout life that I shouldn’t have. I also struggled with basically everything covered in the book, and that’s why I wrote about it. I believe that this book will help the many people who read it.
It covers topics such as financial struggles in marriage, alcoholism, poor habits and choices, procrastination, and several other similar topics that can wreak havoc in our lives. Also, I’ve included an element of Christianity in this book. There is a Christian character who is a common friend among the rest of the characters. However, against his efforts to share the message of Christ, not all are as accepting as he would hope.
As for why I titled it as I did, it’s based on some of the couples who are struggling that spend time visiting a counselor. They have 6 counseling sessions each, two weeks apart. During these twelve weeks, the counselor works with them to make corrections in their lives. You get the front row seat to these sessions. As for why I chose Colorado, it’s because that’s a beautiful state and I love the nature and scenery that is found there. Also, it just fit.
Anyway, if you want a fun read that is interesting and filled with many life-lessons and solutions that are helpful to most everyone, check out the book. I don’t want to give away any more of it at this point.
What can you do to help advance God’s Kingdom?
So, as each person who reads this is unique and uniquely gifted by God, not everything will apply the same. However, God has a plan for each person, and if that person is willing to step out and experience the life God’s planned for them, they will surely reach heights and experience things they never would’ve expected.
I never thought I’d be writing Christian articles, let alone, publishing them to the whole world, but God has a different idea. If you are willing to seek Him out on this, you too, will find out that His ideas are probably much different than yours. But you need to be willing and you need to step out.
In my prior article to this one, I talked about the gifts and skills and talents that God gives to each person and that they must identify them and hone them. This article is in addition to that one. I feel it’s necessary to cover as much as I can about this because it’s important to God. Jesus died so “All” could be saved. What a tragedy it would be if only a few were saved because people didn’t know what to do or that they were supposed to do something.
Not all churches teach about the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19. But it was important enough for Jesus to teach on it.
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!’”
The world needs to hear about Jesus and the message of Salvation. Sadly, so many think it’s a joke because that’s exactly what Satan wants them to think. This is a great deception of his. And, it’s been working. But what’s going to happen to the masses of people come the Day of God’s Judgment?
So, again, in this article I ask; what is it you’re talented and gifted at? What can you do to help with God’s ministry? Are you willing to ask your local church? Are you willing to find ways to use your skills in a creative manner to showcase the love of Christ to others? I use my skill of writing to glorify God and help grow His Kingdom; maybe you have a similar talent and can write your own story or make a video? Maybe you can be a prayer warrior who intercedes for others. There certainly are many avenues one could go down.
The Kingdom of God is here right now. The church body and the Spirit of God are here now for a time to do the work that needs to be done. Are you a spectator or a participant? Your Salvation doesn’t ride on you pitching in, but any help is appreciated and noticed by God. Not to mention, by doing so you are building up Treasures in Heaven (Matthew 6:19-20).
If you really don’t know what to do, start by separating yourself from the crowds. Understand that the spirit of Satan will have you engage in all sorts of sinful activities that displease God. If you want to please God, you need to break away from that sort of living and engage in the activities that please God. Get around other believers and see what they’re doing. Let them know you want to get involved.
If you would like to help this ministry, you could pick up a copy of our books for yourself and even as a gift for those you love or know that are struggling. Also, you could share these articles we write with as many people as you can on social media or by email. By doing this, you help to get the message we’re sharing out to others who are struggling and need to hear this. This would make you a part of a work for God; our work for God. He sees all that you do, and He knows your heart and intentions.
By getting involved in God’s work, and spending as much time as possible developing a solid personal relationship with Jesus, you are helping to advance God’s Kingdom. You will surely be a good influence to others, and God will also surely give you ample opportunities to share your faith and do good. Just ask Him.
If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus, you can follow this link (Prayer for Salvation) to find out how. Also, if you need prayer for your life or your family, click here to send in your prayer request. My wife and I would love to pray for you.
